Job Brief
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Budget Analyst to support organizational budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring. The role involves analysing historical trends to project revenue, expenses, and cash flow, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to build annual budgets, and tracking actuals against targets to identify variances. You will be responsible for financial modelling, cost‑benefit and ROI analysis, and preparing compliance‑driven financial reports. Meeting daily targets, adhering to SLAs, maintaining up‑to‑date industry knowledge, and taking on additional responsibilities as required are key aspects of this role.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Forecasting: Analyse historical data and economic indicators to project revenue, expenses, and cash flow requirements.
- Budget Development: Work closely with department leaders to build annual operating budgets and long‑term financial plans.
- Performance Monitoring: Track actual vs. budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain financial discipline.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct cost‑benefit assessments, trend analyses, and ROI evaluations to support decision‑making for new and existing initiatives.
- Compliance & Reporting: Prepare periodic financial and variance reports while ensuring all expenditures align with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Present insights and financial outcomes to non‑financial teams in a clear and actionable manner.
- Additional Duties: Execute other responsibilities assigned by management to support organizational goals.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in the US Mortgage industry; hands‑on expertise with the LoanVision application is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, compliance guidelines, and financial best practices.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex datasets and convert findings into practical business insights.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert‑level proficiency in LoanVision
- Strong skills in Power BI
- Advanced Excel capabilities and familiarity with resource planning software
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical financial information for non‑financial stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts as required.
