Job Brief

We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate to join us as a Mortgage Closer. This role requires extensive knowledge of mortgage procedures and a strong understanding of state and federal regulations. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing documents for mortgage loan closings and managing key interactions with Loan Applicants and Closing Agents. A keen eye for detail is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare loan closing documents.
  • Ensure all documents comply with loan terms.
  • Identify and correct errors or mistakes in documents.
  • Confirm accurate pricing programs for insured loans.
  • Coordinate with applicants, attorneys, closing agents, and vendors.
  • Answer questions related to loan processing procedures.
  • Schedule loan processing and ensure timely closure.
  • Calculate and present the principal amount and interest rate.
  • Analyze and monitor all outstanding amounts before loan closure.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and workplace guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • 1-4 years of experience as a full-fledged mortgage closer.
  • Ability to identify and document entire loan packages for a complete file.
  • Well-versed in closing documentation requirements and US Federal and State Regulations.
  • Knowledge of standard mortgage terminology.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to make decisions based on facts.
  • Team player, adaptable to change, and able to handle pressure positively.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, LOS, LMS, and Selling guide navigation.
  • Flexible with both day and night shifts.
