Job Brief

We are seeking a dynamic Mortgage Software Product Manager who will play a pivotal role in the future of our company. As a key leader, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and development of one of our Genius products within our Genius product suite. You’ll lead a team of product specialists and business analysts, collaborate closely with marketing and support teams, and define the product roadmap to ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of the mortgage industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and Mentor: Guide and support the product organization, including product managers, product specialists, and support team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Product Planning: Oversee product planning and task assignments through sprint planning, ensuring timely delivery of product features and enhancements.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to product launch, across multiple products or product lines.
  • Strategy Communication: Develop and articulate the product strategy, ensuring alignment with all stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Sprint Assessment: Evaluate product development sprints and identify enhancement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in the creation and management of budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics related to product development.
  • Roadmap Delivery: Own the development and execution of the product roadmap, communicating progress and changes to executive staff and key stakeholders.
  • Competitive Positioning: Define and refine competitive positioning for each product in the marketplace.
  • Innovative Leadership: Drive innovative ideas, solutions, and products through decisive leadership and action.
  • Team Building: Build and nurture high-performing teams and processes that consistently deliver products that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a software product leader in an agile environment, with a strong focus on mortgage-related products.
  • Mortgage Expertise: Direct experience in the mortgage industry is required; underwriting experience is a plus.
  • Roadmap Development: Proven track record in delivering product roadmaps and translating vision into actionable strategies.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to formulate and implement global strategies for products.
  • Innovation: Proactively drive product and organizational improvements.
  • Customer-Centric: Strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to translate customer needs into product features and enhancements.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring product and support teams, fostering growth and innovation.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • User Experience: Deep understanding of user experience and design principles.
  • Mortgage Software: Direct experience with mortgage software is highly desired.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present product roadmaps and strategies to key customers and partners.
  • Data-Driven: Experience in utilizing product analytics to understand feature usage, optimize performance, and drive product decisions.
