Are you meticulous and detail-oriented professional with a passion for maintaining the highest standards? Indecomm invites you to be part of our team as a Quality Control Auditor, where you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring loan production adheres to industry regulations and investor requirements.

As a QC Auditor, you will conduct comprehensive pre-fund and post-close quality control reviews for conventional, government, and non-conforming loans. Your expertise will ensure compliance with guidelines from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Housing and Urban Development, the Veterans Administration, USDA, and private investors. Additionally, your role may encompass federal and state compliance evaluations, safeguarding our commitment to excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct meticulous audits of loan files to ensure eligibility, accurate calculation, proper analysis, and thorough documentation of income, assets, liabilities, and borrower/mortgage program eligibility.
  • Validate data integrity through the Automated Underwriting System.
  • Perform a thorough collateral assessment, reviewing appraisal data, comparable validity, value conclusions, and safety-related repairs.
  • Review and validate required verification documentation.
  • Identify and address potential fraud indicators.
  • Execute federal compliance audits, including but not limited to initial disclosures, RESPA, TILA, MDIA, ECOA, Patriot Act, Flood Act, and Fact Act (limited projects).
  • Enter audit data accurately into the AuditGenius system.
  • Respond to feedback from Internal Quality Assurance and other reporting requirements.
  • Participate in various review types such as State Compliance, HECM, Cancelled/Withdrawn/Denied, Pre-funding, HELOC/Second Mortgages, Adverse Action, and Fraud Investigations.
  • Embrace additional tasks and assignments as assigned.

Requirements

  • Tenured Auditor: Typically, a minimum of 5 years of underwriting and/or audit experience within the mortgage industry.
  • Associate Auditor: Generally, a minimum of 1 year of underwriting support, audit, and/or mortgage industry experience. Completion of Indecomm University training curriculum required for those with less than 1 year of experience.
  • Strong ability to research agency guidelines.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Possession of a Direct Endorsement Certificate is advantageous.
  • Previous compliance experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills are essential.
  • Basic/advanced knowledge of mortgage documents, formats, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Proficient command of the English language (both verbal and written), including proper grammar and punctuation.
  • Basic math aptitude and understanding of the Company’s budgeted guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
