Internal Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:

Conduct audits of loan files completed by Indecomm Associates related to processing, underwriting, closing, pre-funding, or post-close reviews. Review of loan documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines as well as the clients’ requirements.

Reports to: Internal Quality Assurance Manager

Key Responsibility Areas

    • Audit loan files for completeness and accuracy based on the client’s approved set of audit criteria.
    • Review documents and data in the client’s origination, processing and closing systems to ensure they meet requirements and set standards of quality.
    • Meet daily production requirements for review of loans as agreed upon with manager.
    • Attend LSG Team and Client meetings, as required.
    • Attend client and Indecomm on-site meetings, as needed.
    • Track trends and learning opportunities for assigned projects and make training suggestions as needed.
    • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of industry standards and guidelines.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Must Have

    • Must have a minimum of 5 years recent frontline underwriting experience.
    • Prior quality control audit experience a plus.
    • Extensive knowledge of federal, state and/or municipal laws and regulations.
    • Must be able to accurately complete income and asset calculations/worksheets and be able to review self-employed borrower income documentation.
    • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Creative problem solver.
    • Detail oriented.
    • Strong analytical and judgment skills.
    • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Proven track record of meeting production, quality and service deadlines.
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work remotely from a secure home office with multiple software applications using dual screens, if remote option is available.
    • Ability to travel as necessary.


    • College degree preferred.
