Key Responsibility Areas

    • Manage individual pipeline to safeguard service levels, production, quality and compliance within the Closing.
    • Verify the Closing Disclosure meets all required federal and/or program guidelines.
    • Ensure closings adhere to lock confirmation, loan approval and program guidelines.
    • Perform mortgage loan closing functions including, but not limited to, data entry, filing, document preparation, auditing, and quality assurance.
    • Leverage available systems and tools, and apply sound independent judgment when applicable, to perform loan closing tasks, and proactively convey needs and requirements as applicable.
    • Work efficiently and quickly to meet aggressive service levels while still meeting accuracy.
    • Act as an intermediary between all parties in a real estate closing transaction. Communicate with applicants, attorneys, closing agents, and vendors to answer questions and resolve any issues. Communicate with title companies to gather all necessary information for accurate document preparation, and coordinate delivery of the documents before closing.
    • Respond to emails, phone calls and voicemails in a timely manner.
    • Keep abreast of latest updates in company, regulatory and investor guidelines requirements and volume expectations.

Must Have

    • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ previous experience in mortgage loan operations (closing, funding and servicing); lender, bank or credit union experience required.
    • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ previous experience handling sensitive documents in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of lending practices and industry standard processes.
    • Experience prioritizing and reviewing files for completion and accuracy, including analyzing documentation.
    • Ability to apply logic to situations and make common-sense analysis of a credit package.
    • Experience making independent decisions about required conditions and documentation while adhering to internal and investor guidelines.
    • In-depth knowledge of basic program guidelines (Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo) as well as processing/underwriting procedures and compliance requirements relative to the TRID Regulation.
    • Must be dependable and flexible with work schedule (including overtime when needed) and be able to multi-task/change focus on a moment’s notice in a business environment with multiple priorities. Ability to work cohesively and efficiently in a team environment.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
