Job Brief

The Servicing Quality Control Auditor at Indecomm is responsible for conducting servicing quality control audits, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves researching regulatory changes, maintaining knowledge of investor guidelines and requirements (FNMA, FHLMC, HUD, GNMA, FHLB), and performing qc audits on clients’ servicing portfolios, including Performing and Non-Performing/Default loan files. The auditor will collaborate with various teams to enhance servicing qc business line and provide feedback on loan compliance and quality.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly Quality Control reviews of the Loan Servicing platform to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and investor requirements.
  • Support monthly sampling and selection process for servicing qc clients, based on agency requirements and/or client requirements.
  • Operate successfully in various systems and applications, including Indecomm’s audit platform (AuditGenius), client servicing systems, sub-servicer servicing systems, AllRegs, MERS and other related systems.
  • Maintain an understanding of the current and applicable federal laws and regulations and investor guidelines related to mortgage loan servicing.
  • Clearly describe any relevant information found within the loan file in the form of exceptions/findings, using concise, detailed commentary.
  • Partner with Servicing QC Manager to run client audit reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist with checklist updates, creation of job aids, updates to reporting dashboards as needed. Support MERS reviews as needed.
  • Review and make final determination on rebuttals and responses from client or sub servicer, on audit findings cited.
  • Assist members of Servicing QC team with other duties and projects as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of mortgage servicing experience with emphasis in compliance, audit, or quality control.
  • 5+ years of origination and/or servicing operations preferred.
  • Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or Outlook.
  • Understanding of FHLMC/FNMA/FHA/VA/USDA/GNMA guidelines and State/Federal regulations.
  • Understanding of various banking regulations.
  • Prior experience working with loan servicing systems, particularly MSP and AllRegs, preferred.
  • Effectively handle multiple assignments while meeting departmental performance measures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate projects for timely delivery to clients and leadership.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to client partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated decision-making ability.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Rapidly adapts to changing information, conditions and/or unexpected opportunities.
