Job Brief
We are currently looking to hire a Servicing QC SME. This position will primarily be responsible for working on Servicing QC audits, creating and maintaining checklists as needed and working with our offshore teams completing audit batches and providing training clarifications.
The maintenance of Servicing checklists will be done by researching, understanding, and testing to ensure compliance with multiple federal regulations applicable to the mortgage industry, including but not limited to, ECOA, HMDA, TILA, RESPA, etc. The same amount of attention must be paid to all state regulations, investor, and agency requirements. This hire would be a point of contact for Sales and Client engagement and would participate with any client’s demo’s etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
- This position will be an ongoing support of the servicing audit product.
- Experience in working in the Serving QC function as an auditor and well versed with the compliance aspects, state and federal guidelines and comfortable using AllRegs.
- Maintain an understanding of the current and applicable federal and state laws and regulations as well as investor and agency guidelines related to mortgage loan servicing.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive servicing audit checklist.
- A strong understanding of AllRegs and able to navigate and use all functions.
- Create and/or review current checklists to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor for any changes to agency/investor handbooks and identify Federal and State regulatory changes and be able to update checklists accordingly.
- This position will occasionally be responsible for assisting with researching, monitoring, and testing current processes and procedures to ensure compliance applicable to the mortgage industry.
- Must be able to work in Microsoft excel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position may be called upon by Client engagement and sales to assist with new client opportunities.
Skilss & Abilities
- An understanding and interest in mortgage servicing QC.
- Ability to learn Indecomm programs and technologies.
- Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or Outlook.
- Self-motivated with an ability to multi-task and work independently while still being part of a team.
- Ability to have effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.
- Must be able to perform basic math, (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) and understand fractions, percentages, and ratios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
