Lead Associate (Processing)
Job Brief
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Lead Associate for Processing, responsible for managing mortgage loan files and facilitating complete application submissions for clients. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential as you will serve as the central point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients and underwriters.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee loan intake and review documents for completeness, ensuring they meet minimum underwriting submission requirements.
- Collaborate with Mortgage Loan Officers (MLO) to communicate any required documents and coordinate with clients for pending documentation.
- Ensure completion of all third-party orders, including but not limited to title document orders, appraisals, credit reports, asset and income reviews, and additional documentation requirements.
- Identify and document all components necessary for a comprehensive loan package.
- Document specific process requirements thoroughly.
- Maintain accurate reports as per established standards.
- Stay abreast of industry standards and guidelines.
- Meet daily targets and all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as communicated.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Processing.
- Proficient in multiple Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and adept at interpreting various Automated Underwriting System (AUS) reports.
- Prior experience in client handling and interaction.
- Thorough understanding of Conventional and Government loan guidelines.
- Familiarity with process documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of fraud detection related to processing documentation.
- Understanding of US federal and state regulations of compliance.
- Ability to review all components required for Processing review.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong aptitude in mathematics and excellent time management.
- Detail-oriented with a knack for problem-solving and handling escalations.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Competency in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work night shifts.
