Job Brief

We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer with excellent accounting and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting and finance activities for specific divisions of the organization and assisting in the preparation of forecasts and budgets. This role requires maintaining organized records of financial transactions and supporting the Senior Manager in delivering various MIS and ad-hoc reports requested by the managerial team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and finalize revenue for the divisions, including preparing invoices, journals, and accruals.
  • Support the team in month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of financial books.
  • Assist in preparing monthly forecasts, the Annual Operating Plan, and MIS reports.
  • Generate variance analysis reports, MIS reports, and any ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Coordinate with internal and statutory audit teams to facilitate audit activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax-related reports.
  • Prepare and review all types of journal entries in the books of accounts, verifying transactions and highlighting any discrepancies or queries.
  • Perform any other tasks requested by the Senior Manager, Deputy Group Controller, or Group CFO.

Requirements

  • B.Com/M.Com or semi-qualified CA with 4+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts, with familiarity in US GAAP/IGAAP being an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation, cash flows, and preparing bank reconciliations.
  • An investigative mindset during reviews, understanding various compliance and finance controls.
  • Experience in preparing budgets, forecasts, and MIS variance analysis.
  • Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in presentations and MIS reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, confidence in working with key stakeholders, and a passion for completing assigned tasks.
  • Experience in book closing and internal and statutory audit completion.
  • Thorough understanding of revenue recognition.
  • Ability to work well with team members and offer assistance.
  • Good understanding of accounting and MIS systems.
