Job Brief

We are looking for a Software Engineer – Production Support with strong expertise in Python, AWS Lambda, and serverless development. In this role, you will monitor, troubleshoot, and support serverless applications in production, ensuring reliability, performance, and quick resolution of incidents. The candidate should have basic SQL knowledge and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide production support and enhancements for Python-based AWS Lambda and serverless applications.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production incidents to ensure minimal downtime and high availability.
  • Perform root cause analysis of recurring issues and implement long-term fixes in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate support tasks and improve monitoring.
  • Use SQL queries to investigate and validate data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to resolve production challenges.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and best practices to strengthen the knowledge base.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation and handle incident escalations.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding issue status and resolution progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech) or Computer Applications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python programming.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech) or Computer Applications (BCA/MCA).
  • Good knowledge of AWS Lambda and serverless application development.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for troubleshooting and data validation.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, RDS, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, IAM.
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture and serverless workflows.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
