Position Description
Indecomm is seeking an experienced professional to join our Originations Credit Policy team as the Vice President, GSE Originations Credit Policy Manager. This role is responsible for the daily oversight and management of our GSE product credit policy and its associated change management and quality control program.
As a subject matter expert in GSE lending, you will be responsible for monitoring changes from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. This position involves interacting with all product channels, analyzing relevant data, and recommending credit policy changes. Your work will be essential in ensuring our program guidelines, underwriting standards, and internal procedures are kept up-to-date, compliant with investor and internal requirements, and are consistent with our credit risk tolerance.

Core Responsibilities
- Oversee and administrate the GSE product Credit Risk Originations Change Management process
- Monitor publications from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for guideline/requirement changes and determine the impact to Indecomm
- Gather, investigate, review additional information, and conduct research as necessary to ensure compliance with investor requirements
- Recommend credit policy changes based on investor updates, QC defect rate trends, investor exam findings, emerging delinquency trends, or other relevant data
- Manage GSE product guidelines and Indecomm Underwriting Manual updates, draft internal and external announcements, and handle other artifacts related to the changes
- Coordinate the distribution and publication (internal and external) of applicable changes
- Update Indecomm Credit Risk Management policies and procedures and Quality Control scope of review; review business unit policies and procedures and provide suggested changes if needed
- Consult and confer with senior leadership within Credit Policy and effectively implement resulting direction and feedback
- Introduce GSE product credit policy changes to production staff, and be capable of interpreting, debating, and defending policy positions with professionalism and resilience
- Act as back-up to the Government-insured and Non-Agency Credit Policy Managers, which includes but is not limited to the aforementioned responsibilities
- Complete other Credit Policy functions as required

Core Qualifications
- Excellent working knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines and how to apply them in a credit risk environment
- Excellent working knowledge of DU and LPA, and manual underwriting requirements
- Excellent working knowledge of GSE applications such as DU Validation Service, AIM, CPM, CPA, CU, L experience
- Excellent working knowledge of GSE applications such as DU Validation Service, AIM, CPM, CPA, CU, LCA, Value Acceptance, ACE, and income calculators
- Good understanding of delegated correspondent, non-delegated correspondent, wholesale, and retail production channels
- Good working knowledge of government-insured programs and TOTAL and VA AUS engines
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent mortgage industry experience
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Applications
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required across all modalities (in-person, video conference, email, and chat)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with and curiosity for utilizing generative AI to enhance work efficiency, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Previous project management experience is a plus.
- Technical writing experience is highly desired.
